Presented in IP&A Seminar Series-5

I have presented our recent experiments on host testing, oviposition behaviour and gall-inducing behaviour of Notomma mutilum as a potential biological control agent of prickly acacia. We have modified and standardised the colony maintenance procedures in the quarantine facilities for efficient host specificity testing. For the first time, we have studied the life-cycle of N. mutilum and explained the gall-inducing and oviposition behaviour. We have also explained the factors which can regulate their potential as a biological control agent of prickly acacia.
